Science Beef Jerkey

In the Science hurumanu we were learning how to make beef jerky and what to use for it by marinating it for approximately 3 days.

First we got the ingredients and the equipment needed.
the Materials were: 
  • Meat
  • Peg
  • Clothesline
  • Salt
  • Sugar 
  • Bowl 
  • String
  • Knife 
  • Cups

First we cut the beef up into thin strips like the size of bacon. Then we put a little pinch of salt onto the beef then we pinch a little onto the other side. Then you add a pinch of sugar onto both sides as well. Then we tie a piece of string onto the meat and then we hang it onto the line or cloths line for 3 days.    

I saw a dried up piece of meat.
I smelt the meat and it smells like potatoes, then I broke it in half 
I Felt it and it felt like it was rock solid, when i broke it in it was softer.
I DIDN'T TASTE IT BECAUSE I HAVE BEEF SORRY GUYS...
