Term 3 Reflection

Today I will be telling you what I liked or didn't liked about Term 3.

What has been a Term 3 highlight for you?

Probably the quiet lock-down but if I actually have to pick it would have to be all the music classes I had.

How did you find lock-down?

It was ery relaxing and boring sometimes, but apart from that the sleeping in.

What has been your favourite subject this term? why? What have you been learning/ making/ creating?

P.E because we learn about multiple things and we have just started learning about gymnastics.

What did you create in this terms Arts Kete? Did you enjoy it? Say why?

I created a music beat and I enjoyed it because I could make what ever beat I liked.

What are you looking forward to in the holidays?

Definitely my Birthday and this place my nana is secretly taking me for the first week of the holidays. And also to...  SLEEEEP!

Badminton

For the past couple of weeks, we have been playing badminton in PE. Today I am going to tell you how to score in a game of badminton.

You can play badminton by yourself or with a pair.

if you hit the shuttlecock over to the opposition side, and they don't hit it. But it lands within the court lines, you score a point.

If a server is unsuccessful in hitting the shuttlecock over the net, it's a point to the other team and they get the next serve.

If you hit the shuttlecock out of the lines/court, it's a point to the opposite team.

If you don't hit the shuttlecock, or don't hit it back over the net, and it falls to the ground on your side, it's a point to the other team.

The first team to reach 21 points wins the game. There are usually 3 games played, so you might win

3-0, 2-1, 2-0.

Candle Rising Water

Today we were doing an experiment about a candle and a water.

The equipment we used were:

Candle     Water

Cup     Plate     Lighter

Hypothesis:

I thought that the water would get sucked up when the cup was over the candle.

Results and Conclusion:

When the candle was in the water and the cup was over it, the candle is trying to get oxygen so it sucks up the water ( fire needs oxygen ) when it is HOT it is High pressure and when it is COLD it is Low pressure

Heart Dissection

Aim: To look at the structure of the heart.

Method: Gloves, Scalpal, Tray, Scissors, Tweezers, Cleaning supplies, Newspaper and off cause A Heart!

-----------------------------------------
Move everything off the table.
Put newspaper on table.
Put on gloves.
Get a tray.
One piece of every equipment.
-----------------------------------------

The white stuff around the heart is called fat, and fat is really good for the heart and if you have got too much fat on it, it could stop moving.

First what we did to the sheep heart is, we cut all the fat of too see what the heart looks like.
Next we had to open up one of the chambers to see inside the heart.
After that we were playing around and pretending we were bad surgeons and we cut the hole thing in half tto see more of the heart and the vanes.

Gravity

 Gravity

Is Gravity the same on all planets?

No, Because all planets are different sizes.

Gravity holds Earth together.

On earth every place is not the same Gravity.

How is gravity related to mass?

Objects that have more Mass means that it has more Gravity, Objects that have less Mass means that they have less Gravity.

The More objects that get closer and closer to each other means that, the stronger the Gravitational pull is from it.

Calculate your weight on the other planets in our solar system.

Earth: 36 kg

Mercury: 13.6 kg

Venus: 32.8 kg

Mars: 13.6 kg

Jupiter: 84.2 kg

Saturn: 33.5 kg

Uranus: 33.1 kg

Neptune: 40.3 kg

Click this to see your Weight on other Planets

How would your life be different if you live on a planet with higher Gravity?

I would not even be able to walk because of how heavy I would be and with the astronaut suit. I wouldn’t also be able to jump as high because of my weight on that planet and with the suit on as well.

How would your life be different if you live on a planet with Lower Gravity?

I would not love it because I will feel lighter and my body will go inside out.

But even with the suit on you will not float you will just be able to jump higher exactly like the Moon.

What Would Happen If Humans Tried To Land On Jupiter?

Jupiter is a planet mostly made out of gases like Hydrogen and Helium.

It is a lot like the sun's gases too.

There are basically no landing spots for the SpaceCraft because of the gases.

Everything I know about Gold Mining

Do I know anything about Gold Mining?
Yes you can do it different ways and I have an uncle that does mining with his group of people and they find lots of gold and other ores.
You can do it by using dynamite or an explosive or finding an area that looks like there will be any ores.

What do you know about Discrimination?
Example: There was a person and he was trying to enter the museum and the guy at the front counter doesn't let you in because of your age or race or gender.
Another Example: You were at a resturaunt and you order and the guy or lady says that you can't order here sorry because your underage or because of your race.
